Active Citizens Camps

Active Citizens Camps

Active citizens feel the need for a change and make it happen. They do not wait for others to do the job: they take the initiative themselves. They know what is relevant for their community and unite people behind far-reaching ideas.

A Ukrainian network of active citizens forms at Active Citizens Camps. During the event you will meet activist and policymakers, discuss their successful projects and ask for advice on yours, and learn more about leadership and project management. Evenings are your free time to explore the city and chat with other participants.

Due to the quarantine, we will hold the сamp in August online. We are testing the online format and still do not know when we will come back to camps in Ukrainian cities. Follow this page or subscribe to our newsletter to be the first to know when your call opens.

This is for becoming an active citizen

The first part of the camp are sessions with the Active Citizens facilitator. You will improve self-awareness and learn to understand others and use dialogue as a tool for empathy, to know how to unite the community for social intervention and to plan sustainable social action. Even if you are a pro when leadership is concerned, you will discover something new.

This is for the exchange of ideas with activists from Ukraine, the EU and the UK

There will be a lot of communication, with active citizens from the EU and the UK, local activists, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and other camp participants. Meet and exchange contacts for the future.

This is for those already experienced in activism

The camp is aimed at people who have experience of social activism and are empowered to continue. Small initiatives also count. Even if there is only a photo exhibition at your uni in your portfolio, feel free to apply.

This is for becoming a member of a global movement of fellows

After the camp you will become a member of the Active Citizens network of 286,243 activists from 77 countries. Seize the opportunity to meet new friends in an alumni community, to apply for special grants and to be inspired by 11,272 international projects carried out by other members of the network.

This is for you!

We connect people and opportunities

We support professional and creative exchange between Ukrainians and their EU colleagues. This encompasses 20+ programme lines managed by us and a constantly increasing database of the best opportunities offered by other European organizations. This is just the beginning: more opportunities, events and acquaintances are coming.

We are all over Ukraine

We are convinced that we should go where our support and information are needed the most: out in the regions. Organising Pop-Up Hubs, creative entrepreneurship in the regions is stimulated, whereas the Mobile Pavilion sets our concept on the move.
